Bilal is twelve years old. His sister Salma is six years old. His father’s name is Mohammed, and his mother’s name is Mariam. They are fron Palestine.

Bilal and his family are temporarily living in Óstán an Chaisleáin in Dublin, Ireland. On his way home from school one day, Bilal finds a kitten that someone has thrown in the bin! He rescues the kitten, but there are no pets allowed in the hotel – and Bilal quickly finds out that it’s not easy to keep a kitten in secret!
