When learning Irish it becomes apparent very
quickly that a preposition used to give meaning to a verb or noun in English is a completely different réamhfhocal in Irish.

This booklet seeks, chiefly, to highlight the most common differences in réamhfhocal simplí use between both languages and alert learners to the pitfalls that these linguistic sprites can lay before them. It also deals with compound prepositions (réamhfhocail chomhshuite) and the use of prepositions with pronouns (forainmneacha réamhfhoclacha).
