In this book we catch a glimpse of the years that shaped the author’s mind and attitude at the beginning of the 1970s. The first part contains a moving account of the years he spent attending university in Cork and being caught between the University of Cork and the University of Life – picking hops in Kent, working on the building site in Cork city and on a farm next to a psychiatric hospital Our Lady’s on Lee Road.
