Description

Forst poetry collection by Éire Ní Fhaoláin, a 6th year student from Meánscoil Gharman in Enniscorthy.

The title ‘Tuigim’ means ‘I understand’ and was inspired by her poem which she was commissioned to write for the ‘Cosán na mBan’ programme with Treasa Bhreathnach on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta in 2023.

The cover, design, layout and illustrations for the book are all Éire’s own work. At 17 years old, 2023 has been a very exciting year for this young writer, traditional singer and musician. Éire’s Irish language poetry and newly composed songs in both Irish and English have received several awards and have been featured on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta. Her poetry has also been published by the Irish Times, Fighting Words, the Wexford Bohemian as well as other literary journals and traditional song books.
